BMC's Artist List for Coachella 2018

Coachella 2018 is gonna be HUGE, and if you’re one of the lucky few who has managed to snag passes for the infamous desert oasis, you’re in for the time of your life! This year’s Coachella festival continues to expand beyond music and art, creating an experience that’s in line with the So Cal lifestyle: full service pop-up restaurants, all-inclusive resort-style tents, boutique shops, specialty craft cocktails, hair salons, yoga classes, and even phone-charging seesaws. There are more musical acts than ever before with even grander performances than years past. The event steadily evolves from grunge to glam as Beyonce headlines the line-up with hours of rehearsing and 100 new backup dancers.

At the heart of it all, Coachella hasn’t forgotten its roots. Yes, you can still pass out in someone’s van, you can still squeeze into your denim underwear, and you can still crawl out from a mosh pit in bruised, broken, bleeding bliss. Whether you plan on glamping in an air-conditioned tent with freshly-tapped kombucha or roughing it under the stars with your drunken wizard staff of PBR cans, Coachella's got something for you! From jazz to rap to rock and roll, we’ve combined our suggestions for bands you just really can’t miss at Coachella 2018.

[Jamiroquai’s] music is a psychedelic mix of funk and jazz that can put a groove in anyone's soul.  Definitely happy mood music.

Casey (E-Commerce Mastermind)

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD:

I like to cruise downhill on a skateboard with this because the beat is very flow-y and gets me in the zone.

Yoichi (Customer Happiness Provider)

KALI UCHIS:

She is a Columbian artist that has a really unique style. To be honest I pretty much love EVERYTHING she does whether it's in english or spanish. It was insanely difficult to pick just one, so I have to mention a couple other amazing hits by her : Tyrant, After the Storm, Know What I Want and Nuestro Planeta.  Go, go, go! Listen to her!!
Devon (Creator of All Things Nails)

THEE OH SEES:

Thee Oh Sees - “Toe Cutter/Thumb Buster”

After seeing videos of their manic and energetic live performances, they've been bumped to the top of my list of bands I NEED to see. Give this song a listen if you find yourself walking down the street on a bright, sunny day to capture those warm guitar fuzzies on the inside.

FLEET FOXES:

Fleet Foxes’ new album, “Crack-Up”, blew my mind. While I love their other two albums, this 2017 album showcases how much they’ve developed into a tighter, bigger sound. “I Am All That I Need” has the most beautiful lyrics and candid samples that create a song that’s somber, cinematic, and heart wrenching.

The last group I need to see to complete my James Maynard Keenan's trifecta.

Tiana (Marketing Manager Mama)

FIDLAR:

Their sound/mood is fun, angsty, IDGAF punk rock which is my favorite. I can listen to them no matter what mood I’m in. Their lyrics seem simple on the surface but always get me right in the feels. Definitely one of my favorite bands right now and one I hope to see live soon!
Katie (Artist of Digital Masterpieces)

MIGUEL:

My first time ever, and sadly the only time this far, seeing Miguel perform live was when I was at Drake's "Nothing Was The Same" concert, and he was the opening act. Miguel is such a beautiful singer live. He has a raw tone and rocker vibe with the soul of an R&B singer. I can't pick a specific favorite song, but I can say my top albums by him are "All I Want Is You" and "Kaleidoscope."
