The Women Who Inspire BMC

Women are natural creators. We have the power to transform nothing into something and to find meaning within the void. (I’m sure my BF totally agrees based off of our totally ridiculous in-depth arguments about seemingly pointless things.) We birth beginnings. We create change. We inspirit ideas. We lead lives! That is crazy! Seriously, just take a moment to think about how insane that is. I mean, we’re basically super human...

So, it comes with no surprise that behind all of us, there’s a woman who serves as a guiding light and inspiration to push us to be the best we can be.

So, it comes with no surprise that behind all of us, there’s a woman who serves as a guiding light and inspiration to push us to be the best we can be.
Who Are the Women That Inspire Us?

Ren (Left) - King CEO: Besides Carol, my aunty (my mother’s sister). When I immigrated from Hong Kong to here, [my entire family] came together, but my dad stayed in Hong Kong. During vacations, we’d go and see our whole family, but the rest of the time, my aunty would watch us and take us to school. She would cook us dinner. She would pick me up from school. She did more for me than she needed to do. So, I’ll always remember that.”

Carol (Right) - Queen CEO: “I think Ellen [Degeneres]. I’ve been seeing her a lot lately. She’s really cool, funny, empowering, and kind. She’s openly gay and stands up for what she believes in. She does great things, supports a lot of charities, and does a lot of philanthropic work. I think everyone should strive to make the world better, even if it’s a little at a time.”

Tomani - Awesome Computer Dude: “My mom. She’s the most kind-hearted person I know. She’s hard working, and she’s always provided to make sure me and my sister never needed more than what we already had.”

Devon - Creator of All Things Nails: “My ex-boyfriend’s mother. She told me this advice before I even dated her son (when I was like 10-years-old). She told me that there are 5 pillars to art: shape, size, space, color, and texture. Her advice has impacted my whole artistic life. I admire her for that because she doesn’t even know that she’s done all of this for me.”

Jennifer - Social Media Master: “My future self. My future self is someone I can always look up to. She will always motivate me to be a better person. My husband always says ‘be the change you want see,’ and that [future me] is always someone better.”

Yoichi - Customer Happiness Provider: My mom. She always took care of us by working 2 jobs. She keeps everything in control. She inspires me to work hard, be honest, and take care of family.”

Women’s Month March is over, but we still feel it’s important to honor and encourage females of all histories, ages, backgrounds, and beliefs to strive for equality and respect. Whether you’re biologically a female or a female in heart, soul, and essence, we encourage you to continue to be proud of who you are, where you came from, and what you do to do you!
